As an intern in our design area, you will work alongside seasoned designers to design and develop Lands’ End products – bringing concepts to life. By including color, fabrication, silhouettes, and mood, you will provide design recommendations and support visual set ups and presentations to convey design vision. Through trend analysis and market research, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining design books and journals.
As a technical designer, you will work with a product team to learn how to build and execute product according to our quality standards. You will perform fit and pattern analysis as well as develop appropriate construction methods and measurement specifications. You will gain an understanding of the manufacturing process and develop partnerships within Lands’ End and beyond.

Successful Apparel Design Interns have
- An understanding of textile construction as well as color and printing techniques
- Strong industry knowledge and passion for the Lands’ End brand
- Basic fit and pattern making skills
- Passion for current fashion and emerging trends
- Ability to work with a variety of work styles as well as the ability to work independently
