YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

-Producing CAD Designs from garment shapes to prints/embellishments for sportswear and leisurewear for various Football/Rugby clubs in the UK and Europe, across men's, ladies and children's wear for all product areas, including, t-shirts, sweats, knitwear and accessories. Following either original samples or existing designs.
-Creating designs for clients branding ( swing tickets, back neck labels).
-Work on graphics for sales literature i.e. seasonal catalogues, brochures and promotional leaflets.
-Developing artwork sheets to send to factories when a order is placed, to illustrate all the garment details correctly and in detail, print measurements, colours etc.
-To assist with researching fashion brands and trends on the high street, either online and in store for inspiration. Following this producing brand presentations to show to customers.
-Print out cad design presentations to give to sales managers and to send to the clubs.
-General assistance with steaming garments, helping with organizing trade shows, sorting out samples and hanging garments etc.
-Attend sales meetings and taking notes regarding new designs and amendments.
-Assist with the Design departments goals and be able to give ideas and opinions.
You will however together with your mentor establish your own goals and projects.


IF YOU WILL HAVE:
• A degree in an adequate area
• Fluent English language knowledge
• General understanding of the fashion clothing industry
• A highly creative and energetic individual with a flair and attitude towards fashion and design
• Practical computer experience in graphics and fashion design
• Strong graphic design skills
• Good knowledge of relevant design software (especially illustrator and Photoshop)

MISHA NICOLE will be hosting a Fashion Show on April 15th and a Pop Up Shop/Preview Night on April 16 to give a taste of what's to come.

Intern will be responsible for all functions assisting the Founders of MISHA NICOLE with the execution and set up of a new retail store, Pop Up stores, and a major Fashion Show. Intern will be exposed to all retail, merchandising, and styling functions from the fashion perspective (to name just a few), as well as the financial, operational, sales, marketing, PR and web functions of a start up, retail store.

Intern will receive major exposure to Fashion Industry executives and celebrities, hands on knowledge and experience, build strong relationships and receive a global perspective of all aspects of running a fashion company.

About the Company

MISHA NICOLE is a women's retail, concept store, exclusively showcasing coveted emerging global designers in conjunction with well established brands in the US, that work back to the fashion forward and unique sensibility of the store. Many of these brands are from India, and have strong brand recognition internationally, and are now being launched, as the premiere platform, in the US at MISHA NICOLE. The merchandise is western (not Indian) fashion apparel and accessories, inspired by the fabulous colors, embroidery and textiles that are unique to India. The store will also combine Indian-inspired apparel, jewelry and accessories that allow for easy, fun and unique updates to the western wardrobe, combined with western designer merchandise from denim and leggings to knits and fashion forward dresses, to provide a cohesive, one stop, shopping experience for the New York woman, who wants something chic, yet that sets her apart.

MISHA NICOLE is also built upon creating a unique shopping experience, as it is scheduled to host events that provide an educational and engaging shopping environment, in addition to its fashionable merchandise. The store has partnered with various organizations to host events that work back to the concept of the store from music and fashion to art, theater, dance and film. MISHA NICOLE will be the place to go to be on the up and up of Indian-inspired fashion and culture.

The first store is scheduled to open in Soho, NYC in Fall 2010.
