NYC- Maguire Steele (pr)

Maguire Steele’s looking for interns and we think it’d be the perfect place to start. The relatively new PR firm reps both the big, Rag & Bone, to the small, Billy Reid, to the very cool, Odin, Den, Pas de Deux.

They need interns who can work three days a week from 10am to 7pm. They’ll give you school credit if you need it, though you won’t get paid. Crossroads Trading Co. - Recycled Fashion - Store Manager (Bay Area)

Crossroads Trading Co. - Recycled Fashion - Store Manager (Bay Area)

Reply to: job-927138645@craigslist.org
Date: 2008-11-20, 10:45AM PST

Crossroads Trading Co., a small, professionally run recycled fashion company
is looking to hire a Store Manager for a Bay Area location.

We're a 24-store (and growing!) green company founded 15 years ago.
We’re proud that many of our staff members have been with us for a large
part of the journey. We think our success is due in part to the belief
that everyone is entitled to recognition for a job well done and that
celebrating achievements (even little ones) is important.

Our store managers:

1. Thrive on being the captain of their own ship. We offer you the independence
and creative challenge of selecting your entire inventory. You
can’t do that at Urban Outfitters, H & M, or The Gap!

2. Love the fashionable and fabulous. You were probably born this way, but we
do what we can to help with a 30% discount, access to cutting-edge fashion
and a chance to run the show at one of our fabulous (if we do say
so ourselves) stores.

3. Deserve private lives. We offer paid holidays, vacation, sick and personal
days, and livable work weeks.

4. Take care of themselves and their loved ones. We do our part by offering
medical and dental insurance.

5. Enjoy today but plan for the future. To help, we offer a 401(k) retirement
program with company matching, tuition reimbursement, profit sharing, a
management training program-including an annual retreat-and tons of bonus
opportunities.

If you love retail and the exciting ride that each day brings, we'd love to
talk to you. If you've been looking for a place to get serious about your
retail management career and to be appreciated for your work; if you love
our stores and are as obsessed with fashion as we are, we'd love to talk
to you.

As one of our Store Managers, you can expect to have the following (and
probably more) responsibilities:
- create you own inventory by buying and managing merchandise
- interview and hire staff
- supervise, train and evaluate staff
- process payroll
- plan and conduct staff meetings; team-building
- direct merchandising and window displays

Store Manager candidates should have at least 2 years retail management
experience in the fashion/clothing industry.

Sound like you? Please email your resume to the reply-to address at the top of this post.
INCLUDE YOUR RESUME IN THE BODY OF YOUR EMAIL.
ATTACHMENTS WILL NOT BE OPENED!
