Each year, the Crocker offers a limited number of internships for students interested in gaining professional experience within the museum field. Viewed as part of the Museum's educational mission, internships prove to be valuable learning experiences for students while providing important resources for the institution.

Anthropologie is seeking Display and Visual Merchandising Interns for our Bay area stores. Requirements:

Qualifications and Job Skills:

The successful Display Visual Intern will have a fine arts, applied arts, or design and architectural background. Installation experience is preferred. Interns must be highly creative, with a thorough understanding of the Anthropologie point of view, and a constant awareness of trends in fashion and home furnishings. Knowledge of various textiles and materials as well as familiarity with power tools, basic construction techniques, and installation is preferred. Anthropologie will provide the intern with an on-the-job learning experience that is appropriate to their degree and is in line with expectations of their school.

Responsibilities:
The intern must provide Anthropologie with the appropriate paperwork form their school, indicating requirements such as hours and expectations that must be met to earn college credit. It is the responsibility of the intern to ensure college internships requirements are met by the program.

Vagadu is an innovative clothing line that draws inspiration from fine art to create one-of-a-kind fashion pieces with reclaimed fabrics. Intern will help assemble and have creative input on the design of the fall collection under the supervision of Artistic Director.

Responsibilities for Design Intern include but are not limited to: the practice of creating cutting patterns, draping garments, sewing & assembling clothing articles, creating accessories, mending and finishing garments.

Located in downtown San Jose, our firm publishes DRUM! magazine and related products. We're looking for a design intern who is interested in both print and interactive media. The intern will be working with our assistant art director to develop online art, marketing collateral pieces (all types) and assisting in production as needed.
