West Hollywood custom linen/home decor showroom is looking for an intern to assist in all aspects of daily showroom operations as well as design projects. Looking for someone with passion for interior design and a can do attitude. Must be trustworthy, organized, and unafraid to ask questions. Experience in Quickbooks, Photoshop, and Illustrator is HIGHLY preferred. Must be available 2 days a week.
This position is an unpaid internship with school credit, free lunches, and resume building as compensation. Any work related expense including mileage for errands will be reimbursed. There is the possibility of this turning into a part-time paid position for the right person.
Candidates MUST have the following skills: highly organized and detailed, GREAT listening skills and the ability to follow directions, proactively work independently, interest in the world of design, and have their own car.
Duties include, but are not limited to: merchandising of the showroom, organizing swatch and inventory library, filing, running errands, placing and tracking orders and samples, following up with clients, installation of products at clients' homes, creating look books and reference materials, , assisting on project direction, and sketch/spec sheet drawings of custom designs. Please note: light lifting is sometimes required (linens, towels, not manual labor).

Marie Claire’s features department is looking to hire bright, detail-oriented editorial interns for the fall 2013 semester (Aug-Dec). Candidates must have an interest in career news, international women’s news, health, entertainment/culture, and relationships. This is NOT a fashion internship. Responsibilities include research, reporting, writing, and some administrative tasks. We’re looking for interns who can work at least two consecutive days.
