Style Magazine is a bimonthly lifestyle publication distributed to some 50,000 homes in the greater Baltimore area through a controlled list, a subscription base and sales from more than 250 newsstands. Published seven times each year, Style covers home design, personalities, fashion, entertaining, parenting, travel, food and other lifestyle topics-always keeping a Baltimore focus in mind. Our goal is to produce a local magazine with national quality writing, editing, photography and design.
Style interns are treated as editorial assistants and given opportunities to report and write front-of-book blurbs as well as bylined articles. The internship is best suited for upper-level or advanced college students with previous writing or journalism experience. Potential interns should be comfortable working in a professional environment, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively. We welcome interns who are enthusiastic and inquisitive about reporting, writing, and magazine production.
Specific internship duties include:
• Fact checking articles by telephone, library, Internet, or original reference materials to ensure accuracy prior to publication.
• Reporting and research to write short front-of-book blurbs
• Researching, writing, and revising bylined articles for publication
• Clerical tasks such as Xeroxing, faxing, etc.
**Style only offers editorial internships. We do not have internships in photography, graphic design, advertising or marketing.

Students must be available TWO FULL DAYS or THREE HALF DAYS, approximately 12 to 15 hours per week. Fashion, Beauty and Pop Culture Editorial Internship at Lovelyish.com (New York)

Lovelyish.com is a blog dedicated to covering fashion, beauty, pop culture and other women-oriented topics in an approachable, intelligent voice. We stress the value of community and forward progression. Our site totals about 2 million pageviews per month.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop a real prowess within the broad scope of new media.

Qualifications:
* Prior writing/blogging experience (must enjoy blogging!)
* Must have excellent communication skills and be highly organized, efficient
* Work a minimum of 15 hours/week
* Minimum commitment of 4 months (one full-length semester)
* Basic knowledge of HTML
* All majors welcome (journalism preferred, though), can be for school credit
* Can work remotely from home or school mostly but must be able to work from our Midtown West office in Manhattan at least once a week

Our ideal candidate is a voracious news consumer. We look for someone who navigates through a variety of social media platforms and news outlets with ease, accumulating a steady stream of story ideas along the way. We would like to find a self-starter with a basic grasp of AP Style, HTML and a thirst to push the envelope journalistically. We dig strong voices and large vocabularies, too. Above all else, we want interns who are passionate about the topics we cover.

This is an unpaid internship; however it can lead to a paid position. Interns will receive training, mentorship and opportunities to expand their portfolios. We want to lend a hand to a new generation of bloggers and help you walk away from your internship with a better handle on reporting, interviewing and writing in general.

Our office is always stocked with free snacks and beverages. Based on job performance, references and networking opportunities will be provided. We aim to promote growth and take a very grassroots, team-centric approach with our esteemed group of interns.

Internship Available at Advertising Agency (New York)

A small fashion and beauty advertising agency seeks intern for Monday and Tuesday 10AM-6PM (must be available these days). Candidate should have similar internship or educational experience. 
This is a small, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful office and you must be willing and able to hit the ground running. Attention to detail is absolutely necessary, as is the ability to work independently. There will not always be someone available to give you things to do- you must be able to take control and asses what needs to be done on your own. This is an amazing opportunity for the right person. A thick skin and sense of humor is a must.
Intern will report directly to Office Manager and indirectly to the production, branding and strategy departments.
