Hello,
We are currently seeking interns to join the team to work on the Leanne Marshall Spring 2011 collection.
This internship will be lasting from June to September (Fashion Week), and school credit is available.
Requirements:
• At least two years of Fashion Design Major training in college, from an accredited school.
• Experience in pattern-making and cutting patterns into fabric.
• Strong hand sewing skills.
• Be a self-starter, and able to find new tasks without being asked.
• Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, Word, Excel.
•Very reliable and professional.
• Basic knowledge of fashion PR & marketing
• Basic office/administrative knowledge
Duties will include, but not limited to:
• Doing garment finishing and applying embellishments to dresses.
• Cutting fabrics from paternss and assisting with sewing samples.
• Assistance with photoshoots and styling.
• Running errands to midtown, checking in at the factory.
• Answering emails, and assisting with line sheets.
• Organizing fabrics, sourcing materials.
• Working during fashion week, with model-fittings, scheduling.
The studio is located in the Dumbo area of Brooklyn. Close to the F, A, C trains.
