We are looking for a part-time PR intern for our NYC office.
Internship Description
The intern’s primary responsibility is to support the account executive and account manager based in NYC, assisting with research, preparation for client presentations and mailouts, proposals, and helping to develop and execute public relations campaigns. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented person who is looking to learn more about the PR industry.
Specific Duties (and areas we will train you in) include:
- Admin. tasks: answering phones, liasing with the LA office, managing FedEx and office supplies, managing samples and mailouts, etc.
- Creating and managing media lists and databases
- Helping to write press releases, media alerts, and other media materials
- Managing all press clips including tracking, clipping, uploading to website
- Assisting in the preparation of research for projects and events
- Assist in media outreach to print, online, radio and television media
Requirements
• Detail-oriented
• Proactive
• Strong and assertive communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and perform a wide variety of tasks over the course of the workday
• Strong computer competency; proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A ”zinger” attitude!
