Creative Agency Hiring Advertising Intern (Chelsea)

Why you want to work at YARD:
• YARD is a boutique-scale company, with an entrepreneurial environment and relatively flat/fluid structure. As a result we all find ourselves “wearing many hats.”
• Our culture is important to us, and we’re successfully nurturing a cohesive, committed, and supportive team. Being the right “fit” is just as important to us as having the right experience, so we encourage you to be true and open with your personality.
• We are a rapidly growing agency and there is opportunity for growth if the applicant is a good fit.

Ideal Candidate:
• A SUPERSTAR – someone who is ready to give their all and show us what you got!
• A recent or soon-to-be college or university graduate who is interested in exploring the world of branding and advertising through hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Available for full-time work; however, part-time until summer/graduation is possible.
• Some general office/administrative experience is preferred.
• Committed and hard-working—a team player who wants to work in a fun, creative, and entrepreneurial environment and is eager to take on responsibility to learn as much as possible about the business and gain experience in the industry.
• Strong written and oral communications skills: must be clear and organized when conveying information.
• Organized and detail-oriented: perfectionists are welcome.
• Able to multi-task many projects and “do what it takes” to see a task through to the end.
• An analytical mind as well as a creative visual/language inclination.
• Interested in brands (especially style-driven brands) and their relevance in culture and to consumers.

Internship Description
• Provide organizational and administrative support to the Account Management, Creative, and Production teams.
• Support the New Business Team’s agency development efforts through industry research and new client outreach.
• Do studio management tasks such as answering phones, taking and relaying messages, ordering and managing office supplies inventory, co-ordinating messenger pick-ups and drop-offs, filing, booking cars/travel, etc.
• Support the Account Management team in revising schedules/budgets, coordinating/scheduling meetings, preparing meeting rooms/other miscellaneous meeting prep
• Keep the New Business team up-to-date on fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry trends and events—specifically related to marketing—by monitoring trade and consumer publications and reporting on relevant developments.
• Prepare outreach to prospective clients according to learnings from recent industry trends and occurrences, including preparing and packaging agency portfolio and press kit for mailing.
• Maintain a visual database of recent agency work in both print publications and outdoor installations, organizing and updating our visual reference library.
• Manage internal agency projects such as website and brochure updates.
• Attend and contribute to agency-wide creative brainstorm sessions for client projects.

  • Compensation: $10/hr
