Internship with Top Fashion Photographer (Lower East Side)

Company Description:
Cedric Buchet is a high fashion and fine art photographer who demonstrates a singular approach regardless of the genre. He has gained popular acclaim and recognition for his Prada campaigns and his advertising clients have ranged from Cacharel to Stella McCartney. His editorial clients include, but are not limited to, Vogue Paris, Vogue UK, i-D, Another Magazine, 10, and Self Service. In 2002 he held his first solo exhibition at the Jousse-Entreprise Gallery in Paris, and in 2004 his work was prominently exhibited at the MOMA (NYC) in the “Fashioning Fiction” exhibit. His work is now held in the permanent collection at the MOMA, Le Fond national d’art contemporain, as well as in private collections in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Job Qualifications:
The applicant must be responsible, dedicated, reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, upbeat, able to multi-task, listen well, work independently while be a team player, and have a passion for photography and the fashion industry. To be the right hand to this producer, you MUST be very organized. Ideally, the applicant would be proficient in Mac OSX and Microsoft Office and have experience in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Capture One. The candidate should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills while being extremely detail oriented. Management skills, proper business phone manners and an understanding of digital capture/archiving are also helpful.

Job Description:
Applicant will be working as the digital technician on shoots and will also be working directly with the studio manager/producer in providing administrative/production support between shoots. This opportunity will allow for the development and firm understanding of what it takes to produce fashion editorials and advertising campaigns from beginning-to-end, while gaining on-set experience and the knowledge of how to manage your own business. The applicant will also be organizing archived digital files during down time.

Intern must be able to work 2-3 days/week , 9:30am - 6; Digital Tech schedule based on Cedric’s shooting schedule (but applicant must be flexible and work long hours on shoot days)

Will give college credit.
