PR/ Writing Intern needed ASAP
ClosetMouse.com is an on-line fashion magazine that will launch in February 2009. We are seeking a mature, professional intern who is interested in interacting with fashion industry professionals (stylists, designers, retailers, etc). The position will be performed on-site, part time, two days per week and will work from home the rest of the week. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, confident individual that loves fashion and the public relations industry. This is an unpaid internship, however you will meet and connect with a large number of fashion professionals and there will be many perks to the job through these contacts.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WRITING APPLICANTS: - Conducting research on fashion trends - Writing short fashion columns and will receive credit on website
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PR APPLICANTS:
• Telephone/e-mail contact with stylists, designers and retailers
• Maintain press contact database and client files
• Assist in distribution of press releases
• Assist with research
• Assist with planning, production and execution of fashion events (trade shows/fashion shows)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Candidates must have:
Prefer a current student in a degree program at an accredited institution
studying in a discipline related to the fashion/PR industry.
OR
• Absolutely must love fashion
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to deal
with strong personalities while maintaining high degree of professionalism
• Must be dependable and have an outgoing personality
• Be Internet savvy
- Location: West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica
- Compensation: NO PAY, INTERNSHIP CREDIT
