dELiA*s has a Part-Time Stylist Internship opportunity for a talented and motivated student to assist the Sr. Stylist / Fashion Coordinator. This internship will be available for Spring 09 semester to be taken for course credit.
OVERVIEW
To aid in the knowledge of fashion styling while acting as a liaison between the fashion merchant and creative teams. The intern will view the process of a seasonal trend concept, product development, editing, and styling/merchandising product for the catalog from start to finish.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist on photo shoots which consist of packing/unpacking merchandise, steaming clothing.
Pull location/aspiration images for future photo shoots, and help make inspiration boards.
Edit through runway images for styling inspiration.
Attend pagination meetings, this is where we edit merchandise and create fashion pages for the catalog.
Attend market appointments, viewing merchandise to buy from vendors based on our trend direction.
Assist the in house stylist, prepping merchandise and steaming.
Light administrative work ie: color copying, organizing photo shoot sample closet, ordering supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
College Student in Junior or Senior year, Fashion Merchandising major preferred.
Must be available at least 3 days a week.
