Fashion Merchandising Intern (New York)

This position is mentored by our CEO and Chief Assistant on all facets of fashion business, sales, marketing, PR, merchandising, and also witnesses a bit of everything else. You will also be corresponding often with our showroom in SoHo, our Publicist, and with our other reps, and will work on our Fashion Week show. We also host and sponsor a ton of events and parties, which you will be working on as well. Resumes/portfolios/cover letters may be submitted to hr@lovebrigade.com.


Love Brigade requires the following of our applicants for this specific position:
1. Marketing, PR, sales or advertising experience/education
2. Intuitive style, fashionable at all times (you will meet with clients and vendors!)
3. Well spoken and written
4. Excellent organizational skills
5. Ambition & timeliness
6. Ready-equipped with a keen sense of off-kilter marketing
7. HTML savvy (you must be able to use Dreamweaver or at least know code)
8. A general knowledge of the fashion industry
9. SELF STARTER – have your own ideas and be able to manage yourself on a few projects!
10. Minimum of 25 hours per week, for a six month term to witness the full fashion cycle. This includes a mandatory 10am-1pm meeting on Tuesdays with the remaining hours spread throughout the rest of the week. We can work around your schedule for the rest of the week, especially if you are in school.
11. A fairly flexible after-hours schedule to take part in LB activities and shows.

Any of the following qualities are a plus, but are not required:
1. Previous experience dealing directly with media, press, and buyers
2. Party and Event planning
3. A base knowledge of Love Brigade's current and previous marketing strategies and campaigns (Google us)
4. PR experience
5. Print Vendor, Showroom, and Media relationships
6. History in sales
7. Tradeshow experience
8. Graphic design experience or training
9. Project management experience
