About the position:
This is a 3 month unpaid internship program located in South of Market, San Francisco. The program is broken down into 2-3 days a week (15-20 hours). Based on your skill sets, you will be placed in one of the three key business units: information aggregation, sales or marketing. The interns' goal is to increase the efficiency and scope of our day to day operation.

Responsibilities (will include, but are not limited to):
Information Aggregation:
-Tour Dates- Fast/accurate data entry both by hand and with internal tools. Researching new potential data sites as well as working w/our established sources. (should be familiar w/ excel)
-Venue Reconciliation- making sure our venues have all accurate information and are only listed once in the database.
-Maintenance of artist profiles- includes adding band's bios/photos/links and communicating w/ the artists.

Sales:
-Show enhancements for sales and production team. The task involves adding all relevant information for shows with associated deals.
-Prospecting new potential sales leads

Marketing:
-Social networking outreach (represent JamBase on sites like Facebook, MySpace, etc. to increase viral growth)
-Community Management (interacting with JamBase users via e-mail and on the site, deal with disputes and problem members)
-Contests/promotions

Other fun projects to be assigned!

Required Skills:
-General knowledge of the web and light HTML (experience is helpful, but we will train the right candidate)
-Ability to work independently and have fun.
-Detail-oriented with ability to complete tasks from start to finish.
-Genuine passion for music and interest in the industry.
-Editing skills
-Knowledge of Excel
-Knowledge of Photoshop -
Must have own transportation; our office is located in South of Market in San Francisco.
