Dissident Display is an award winning high-end multimedia design studio based in Washington DC. The studios and gallery of the Dissident Display collaborative specializes in providing progressive, contemporary creative services and events for discerning clientele both nationally and internationally. In addition to it's commercial output the studios also organizes and participates in exhibitions, film festivals and other creative endeavors in the contemporary arts community. With clients such as Motorola, Motown, Howard University, Saks Fifth Avenue and New York Fashion Week, Dissident Display has carved out a niche for itself in the ever-evolving worlds of arts, media and production.
Interns will be expected to assist Gallery Directors and Assistant with daily activities, specifically:
* Updating and maintaining company e-documents.
* Organizing hard copy documentation and converting into e-copy.
* Creative input and assistance on gallery exhibits and projects.
* Market research, product development and sales
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
* Be knowledgeable with using Adobe Photoshop, MS Office programs, Social Networks. Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro & Google Docs a plus.
* Be able to accurately reflect company's image through professional ethics, hard work and personal style.
* Be in tuned to the culture of contemporary art, music and fashion scenes, both in the DC metropolitan area and internationally.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Hard working individual who plays close attention to detail.
* Will to learn about new software and work techniques.
