Assistant Product Developer (Full Time Position)

ASSISTANT PRODUCT DEVELOPER FOR DOLCE VITA FOOTWEAR (Entry-level in New York City)

Responsibilities:
- Assist Design Head in executing various footwear projects for private label and 3rd-tier Clients.
- Assist Design Head in organizing and filling out spec sheets, and communicating specs and details to our footwear technicians overseas.
- Work closely with the Production team in redetailing footwear components to price-sensitive levels for major clients.
- Assist Design Head in approving / revising pre-production samples and communicating with overseas production correspondents.
- Work with Sales team in coordinating sample requests with the factory.

Qualifications Requirment:
- AAS or BFA in Footwear and Accessories, ideally with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- At least 6 months - 1 year of extensive internship or industry-related experience
- A letter of recommendation from supervisors and references need to be supplied.
- Good communication, organization and computer skills are VERY important and must be able to multi-task. (No A.D.D.-ing!)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Filemaker Pro are required.
- Hand-sketching is required so please provide a portfolio of black line sketches.
- Knowledge of Illustrator / Photoshop / CAD is a plus.
- Must have the ability to travel abroad.
