Role:
An Associate Director provides overall leadership to the account group and manages the day-to-day activities of the account service and media buying for clients. The Associate Director is to ensure the client¡¦s media plans are developed and implemented with the highest level of professionalism. A successful Associate Director must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to both work and lead a group in a team environment.
Media Strategy:
ƒÞ Supervise strategic development and implementation of the agencies/client Out-of-Home programs
ƒÞ Evaluate competitive activity in the marketplace
ƒÞ Be fluent and knowledgeable with all local media and be able to communicate a cohesive OOH plan to the client/agency
ƒÞ Prepare and provide OOH recommendations and rational on local media options to regional OMG offices
ƒÞ Assess media performance in order to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were accomplished
Management:
ƒÞ Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all account personnel, including:
o Hiring and training
o Distributing, planning, assigning and directing work load
o Appraising employees¡¦ performance
ƒÞ Responsible for educating OMG personnel and agency/client about new media, industry trends, relevant opportunities, market and plant conditions as well as any other pertinent information
ƒÞ Provide leadership necessary for individuals¡¦ personal, professional and company growth
ƒÞ Manage the flow of client media-related issues. Create solutions and resolve problems
Maintenance:
ƒÞ Guide the account(s) to profitability and stability by growing business of existing accounts and developing new sources of revenue
ƒÞ Responsible for recognizing new account opportunities and working with partners to acquire new accounts to grow OMG revenue
ƒÞ Provide monthly income projections to Managing Partner
ƒÞ Provide point-of-view on various media in the marketplace
ƒÞ Handle any client requests ¡V i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information
Media Expertise:
ƒÞ Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of OOH opportunities, market developments, trends and media research
ƒÞ Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of non-traditional OOH companies and media options
ƒÞ Attend internal and external presentations
ƒÞ Play an active role in the OOH advertising industries

ƒÞ Thorough knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media. A basic knowledge of disciplines underlying these principles, i.e., psychology, economics, journalism

Requirements: College graduate with relevant experience (employment or internship) in media or advertising required. Solid written and verbal communication skills; as well as excellent quantitative (analytical and math) skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
