The Onion began as a college humor newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin in 1988. During the ensuing 15 years, it expanded to five markets (Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Denver/Boulder, and New York), launched a popular website, and published a best seller book titled, “Our Dumb Century”. Job Description:
The Onion is seeking a Promotions Intern in our Los Angeles office. These unpaid internships will include work in our advertising sales and/or promotions departments, client relations, and promotional events in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interest in print advertising and local promotions
• Available 10 to 15 hours per week

Compensation:
This is an unpaid position, but check with your college or university for possible class credits. Moreover, you will be gaining experience with a nationally recognized publication.
