PURPOSE OF ROLE (In one sentence - why does the role exist?)

The Summer Finance Internship at FWEA will provide experiences in the Finance function. Our finance team consists of CPA’s and would act as good mentors for those who want ot go into the wine industry and/or work for a Big 4 accounting firm.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 Assist with the preparation of audit workpapers which may include: pulling, copying & returning invoices to file cabinets
 Using Excel to prepare scheduled & track document status
 Consolidate various financial worksheets for manager review
 Prepare Lead Schedules as needed
 Tie out/validate calculations on workpapers
 Assist treasury to scan documents for a softcopy record
 Assist finance in misc. research projects
 Perform some administrative roles (short term) as needed but not our goal

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, experience and/or abilities required.


• Undergrad: in their third year of studies (work experience helpful)
• Finance and/or Accounting Background
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Desire to be in the wine industry

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described below are representative to successfully perform the essential job functions. The following percentages are given in terms of an eight-hour workday. • Low to Moderate Noise

Internal
• This role works will all departments within the organization: Sales, Marketing, Legal, Treasury, Supply and Retail.
