The FEARLESS CHOCOLATE Co. seeks Accountability
We're searching for a BONE-CRUSHING(!) Number-Cruncher to support our sales and development team this summer. This is an opportunity to work with a young, developing corporation that is growing faster each month. With growth comes transformation. Our finances are changing dramatically and we seek new strategies and new tools to maintain focus.
This is no lightweight coffee maker cookie cutter file this cold call and pick up my laundry for college credit work-experience. We offer a rare opportunity to work with a unique and delicious business that is building and refining its foundation. The work you do with us is real, our successes and mistakes have real consequences, and you will live the results on the daily.
Responsibilities
*You will learn to be a business visionary. Working intimately with the CEO and the CPA, you will contribute ideas to the present and future operations strategy.
*You will structure development goals into sales milestones.
*You will apply pro-forma analyses to business plans designed to raise capital from new investors.
*You will envision, develop, and implement tools for tracking our financial state, projecting our present and future sales potential, and managing our stock of inventory.
*Using the Wholesale & Manufacturing version of Quick Books, we will refine, integrate and streamline our information systems until all aspects of sales and manufacturing run like clockwork.
*You will be working with us to establish the backbone of this company.
Qualifications
*AT THE VERY LEAST, You must be pursuing a degree in Accounting and/or Business Management (JUNIORS & SENIORS ONLY)
*You must have completed 1-2 years of applied accounting/finance experience
*You must be able to balance a check book (seriously)
*You must have the capacity to translate your personal experiences into valuable and applicable life lessons
*You must have the focus to start and complete tasks
*You must have organized a successfully fun event in your lifetime
*You must be able to tell an engaging story
*You must have a generally amiable and outgoing personality
*You must be able to think on your feet, and on our feet
*You must have had the experience of pulling an all-nighter
*You must enjoy eating and sharing chocolate
*You should have an entrepreneurial spirit
*You should have an interest in your own health and wellbeing
*You should have some outlet in your life for exercise
*You should be cultivating to be the best you that you can be, or better
Skills
*Knowledge of QuickBooks is useful (we will train you)
*Macintosh/PC literacy is necessary
*MS Office, Excel, extreme versatility on the internet is a must
*Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator is gorgeously attractive
*Prior retail sales experience is applicable
Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience and availability.
