There is an immediate opening for a Merchandise Coordinator for San Francisco.


The Merchandise Coordinator will act as a field representative for the Nautica Home Furnishings and Kipling brands by focusing on training and building strong relationships within department and specialty stores. Duties include training store staffs on product knowledge, customer service and merchandising standards to maintain brand integrity and maximize sales. Through relationships built and maintained, the Coordinator will drive business initiatives, provide daily and weekly verbal and written communication regarding various aspects of store conditions, trends and opportunities, support regional strategies and plan for future and maximize current business. The Coordinator acts as liaison with all levels of retailer (store and corporate), vendor and Nautica/Kipling personnel. Travel will be required to remote stores within the Northern California territory.
Candidates must have strong retail management or assistant buyer background and should possess visual and merchandising experience. Superior retail and customer service experience, strong initiative and ability to work independently are required. Excellent written and verbal communication, training and presentation skills are a must. Applicants must also have solid computer skills, including Word and Excel. Knowledge of retail math is important.
