The Merchant Intern collaborates with Merchandising team to execute the line through cross-functional partnerships. Gathers customer and competitive information that feeds the future SVL.

Essential Tasks
• Maintains daily operations of a specific merchant area
• Gains insight to customer intimacy and acts as a customer representative on quality, fit and
construction of product.
• Tracks observations and shares findings of customer feedback
• Builds competitive intelligence information
• Review and analyze WGSN, Trade publications and other retailers to gain insight on fashion
trends and styles
• Maintains merchant reports/recaps
• Works with cross functional team to assess and monitor financial elements of the line plan
with guidance of the merchandiser

Work Experience and Education
• Must be a college student, junior or senior status preferred
• Merchandising or Textiles & Clothing major or focus preferred
• Previous retail experience preferred by not required
