I'm looking for a part-time intern (approximately 8-10 hours/week) to help me with the Marketing/PR/Sales of my online business, www.shopmayu.com.
If you are interested in gaining experience in the fashion world as well as in fair trade and/or socially responsible business practices, this is the internship for you!
I am very flexible and this would be an ideal job for somebody who has experience in marketing, is a self-starter, a good communicator, confident, responsible and motivated to make progress and get things done. Also, you have to be a good writer and know how to sell. If you have ideas of your own, I'd be very open to hearing those too and giving you the opportunity to work on them.
Your responsibilities would include some of the following:
- Creating databases and compiling contacts of certain market niches
- Contacting local and national stores and visiting those who are local
- Making marketing materials using PhotoShop or other design software
- Internet research; blogs, online advertising etc
- Basic PR (dealing with local publications)
- Participation in local sales events
In other words, the basic goal is to increase Mayu's exposure to a number of market sectors.
This internship will start ASAP and will continue through June and perhaps longer if you are the right person for the company. The position is unpaid but if you perform well, I'd consider compensating you with product.
