Marketing/PR/Advertising Internships

Creative Citizen and Astrid Design Studio are seeking highly motivated individuals who consider the environment and social justice as a priority in their life and career.

We are offering a joint internship program that will enlighten individuals about Green business practices as well as introduction to the top business leaders.

Creative Citizen is currently working closely with companies such as TerraCycle Inc, GreenHome.com, and other top Green companies.

We have openings for three distinct internship positions, but each intern will work closely with the entire Creative Citizen and Astrid Design Studio team. We are experiencing explosive growth and we will have a great deal of different work available for each intern, all revolving around helping environmentalism and social justice achieve critical mass in our society in order to effectuate positive change.

Content Development Intern

Content Development interns will write and edit content on CreativeCitizen.com and the Creative Citizen blog. They will also attend green events and write about the event, as well as interview interesting green community and business leaders. Interns must be comfortable monitoring trends and writing content that tailor to the needs of the general community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the environment as well as writing. Familiarity with Wordpress is ideal, but not required. You must have experience with using social networking sites, as well as an avid blog reader. Intern should also be comfortable going to green events and taking pictures of speaking engagements and recording videos.

Working with Google Reader and watching the Internet for breaking green news and analysis is required.

Social Media Marketing Intern

Social Media Marketing interns will be involved in cause marketing efforts, which develop unique brands through blogging and social media marketing e.g. social networking, social bookmarking, Twitter, etc.

Interns will learn the fundamentals of blogging and social media optimization for the purposes of marketing, branding, and public relations. Intern should also be comfortable going to green events and taking pictures of speaking engagements and recording video.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for media, social media, and learning the ins and outs of Internet marketing. The Social Media Marketing intern will work closely with the content development intern.

Green Interior Design, Green Consulting, Permaculture Intern

Interns will work directly under principal designer, drawing floor plans, elevations, perspectives and rendering on Auto CAD, Sketch-Up and manually.

Through direct interaction with vendors and manufacturers, interns will begin to understand the foundation of the interior design industry. Interns will be responsible for specifying products, returning samples, organizing sample library and files for the purpose of building relationships within the green community, first hand experience and public relations.

This is a hands-on experience in a fast paced dynamic environment – based on sustainable design.

We are so excited about this new round of interns as we have really incredible projects for them to partake in and help us with.

Looking for 15 - 20 hours per week each.

Our interns are part of our team and we seek to retain all interns that fit our company mission with long-term arrangements.
