Very busy boutique interior design firm seeks a motivated and energetic design assistant to join our team! Must be a self-starter who is proactive, organized, punctual, and detail oriented.
This is a part time position, starting at two days a week, with potential for growth for the right candidate. This is the perfect scenario for an interior design student looking to gain hands on experience in the design industry.
The position is available immediately. Compensation for the position is $10.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities will include:
- Order tracking and expediting
- Drafting
- Sourcing/Pricing for fabrics and furnishings
- Office Errands (some personal errands)
- Assist designers with fabric and furniture selections
- Scheduling deliveries and installations
- Creating excel spreadsheets
- General design office duties including updating client files, organizing sample and resource library, project related errands, and general assistance answering the phones.
Requirements include:
- Interior design background
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, detail oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have valid drivers license and car
- Must be able to prioritize workflow and work independently
