CAREER: Vans Visual Merchandiser

Description

Coordinate all Visual support of Vans retail stores. Assist in the development of the Visual Direction and programs for the Vans Retail business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director of Visuals to create the vision and direction of the floorset.
  • Participates in monthly floorsets, window changes, display changes and creates directives for all retail stores. Works with the Director of Visuals to plan and lead visual bootcamps.
  • Assist in developing and sourcing seasonal visual displays, special store specific displays, and vinyl window changes.
  • Partners with the head of each department within retail to produce the quarterly department newsletter.
  • Works with the buying team and product team to produce the seasonal product knowledge guides.
  • Partner with the Operations team on new store opening visual supplies, maintain the inventory of visual supplies, and distro as needed.
  • Assist with the seasonal visual binder and master calendar.
  • Work with the buying and operations team to develop quarterly contests in conjunction with key product releases
  • Additional support of Director of Visuals as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • 3-5+ Years of Related Professional Experience
  • Degree in Retail Merchandising or Art preferred
  • Prior experience in retail visual merchandising at a corporate level required
  • Experience with a brand retailer a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong PC skills (MS Office & Lotus notes)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop required. Illustrator and In Design preferred.

Special Requirements:

  • Occasional Travel <>
  • Retail hours required at times for store sets, openings, remodels or special events
  • Ability to spend long amounts of time on feet, occasionally on ladders, reaching, stretching & lifting up to 50lbs, required during merchandising activities, openings, remodels, or events.
