You will learn a great deal including sourcing, managing production, inventory management, and communication with vendor relationships/factories. Upon completion of this internship, you will be equipped to get an entry-level position in fashion production, as many of our previous production interns have gone on to do so. Production is fun for the individual who thrives on being a part of a fast-paced environment and likes to organize. You will also learn a lot about fabrics and construction.
You Are:
• an extremely organized and detail-oriented individual
• someone who thrives under pressure and deadlines
• someone who wants to learn more about the fashion design and production process but have limited accessories design experience
• able to multi-task and jump quickly from one task to another
• an enterprising individual
• familiar with Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities:
• running around the garment district on a daily basis to pick up trims, production, and other materials. This is definitely a workout!
• sourcing new materials and trims
• working on production spreadsheets to take care of inventory on Microsoft Excel
• quality control of all merchandise
• communicate with factories to check status of delivery dates of supplies and materials
• assisting with Shipping Manager to allocate production in order to meet deadlines
