Bowen & Company Internship (Westchester)

Bowen & Company is currently accepting applications for Winter 2009/Spring 2010 Internships!

Description
This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic students looking to gain experience in all aspects of
the event-planning industry. Our interns serve as important members of the Bowen & Company
team and perform assigned responsibilities as they relate to all of our events and projects.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following
• Meeting preparation: scheduling and coordination of appropriate materials for client and
new-business meetings
• List management: compiling and updating mailing lists, maintaining and tracking RSVPs
for events
• Event-space management: research and compile updates on new event spaces, restaurants,
and resources related to our industry
• Offi ce reception: answering phones, checking voicemail, receiving deliveries, ordering supplies
• Regularly update manager on status of all projects
• Perform responsibilities as assigned at Bowen & Company events (some evenings and weekends
necessary, in order to work at events)

Qualifications
• Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year of college
• Must be personable, detailed-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Offi ce Suite
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Good writing and communication skills
• Interest in food, fashion, travel, and pop culture a plus (Must be available at least 2 days a week or at least 10 hrs. per week)

Compensation
• Stipend for travel
• Day rate when working an event on-site
• School credit/letter of recommendation upon completing internship
