blink PR is looking for a hip, bright, energetic, creative and dedicated intern to start immediately! blink is a boutique fashion, beauty, lifestyle and talent PR agency focusing on fashion and the arts. Looking for someone eager to learn about fashion, music, and lifestyle. Will gain hands-on experience working in fast-paced environment in the public relations field. Have the opportunity to work from the ground-up and be in with the trendsetters! *blink rockstar intern* must be sharp, EXTREMELY detail-oriented and timely, a quick learner, and passionate about PR and communications. Fun, laid-back atmosphere with a fashion-forward group who love attending trendy networking events in Manhattan!

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fantastic organizational skills, able to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work well under pressure and time-constraints
• Independent but able to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet savvy
• Efficient using social media sites, blogs, Twitter, and other new media tools is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Manage sample trafficking of fashion and beauty showroom samples
• Build active media lists and maintain most current editorial calendars
• Pitch to editors, journalists, and bloggers from print and online media sources
• Write creative press releases and media alerts for fashion influencers
• Plan, implement, and assist at events (**FASHION EVENT ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 6TH- HELP NEEDED**)
• Track and organize consistent media placements in various media outlets
• Research sponsorship and partnership opportunities, speaking engagements, and local NYC activities and events
• Assist editors, stylists, and talent with fashion styling at castings, fittings, look book production, and editorial photo shoots
• Attend client and new business meetings, social networking events, group outings and activities

Opportunity for future growth within the blink group- CURRENTLY ONLY LOOKING FOR UNPAID INTERNS!
Will need long-term fashion assistant committed to future full-time position. (timing dependent on growth within agency)
NOTE: only blink PR interns will be eligible for the full-time fashion assistant position
