Waggener Edstrom Worldwide is looking for a summer intern for its San Francisco office. This internship, which will contribute to Waggener Edstrom’s Technology Practice, is a full-time, 90-day commitment that will be paid minimum wage based on a 40-hour work week. The preferred start date is June 1st; however, we can be flexible to accommodate the right candidate. Waggener Edstrom Worldwide communications agency has offices on three continents with six global practices – Consumer Marketing, Corporate Communications, Environment, Healthcare, Public Affairs, and Technology. Interns at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide are provided professional experience and practice to learn about public and media relations. Typically, interns perform the responsibilities of an Account Coordinator, the agency’s entry-level PR position. The agency is committed to providing interns with a valuable experience that will help build the foundation for a career in innovative communications.

While the exact functions and responsibilities will vary depending on the team to which the intern is assigned, the agency works to ensure that the intern’s experience is creative, dynamic, fulfilling, and consistent. Employment is not guaranteed at the completion of the internship program.

Eligibility: Our program is open to college juniors or seniors , or those who have already received an undergraduate or graduate degree. We are looking for individuals with the following strengths:

• Clear and succinct written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for public relations
• Knowledge of research methodologies and tools
• Strong desire to learn, contribute and think creatively
• Managed multiple projects simultaneously
• Worked under deadline pressure
