FLAUNT Magazine is a venue for honed creative perspectives and expressions; a measured combination of pop and fringe elements that serves as a tastemaker's guide for a new generation of art and culture sophisticates. A FLAUNT internship is a great way to achieve invaluable experience at all levels of the publication process in both print and online.

FLAUNT reviews resumes on a rolling basis. The details of the internship are as follows:

*This is a non-paying internship. School credit is available in accordance with your institution’s academic policy.

* The dates of the interim are negotiable.

* The internship requires that you work a minimum of 10 hours (2 days) a week, though we'd prefer a commitment of 15 hours.

There are several different internship opportunities in various departments of the magazine, depending on your area of interest. They are:

1. Editorial Internship: We utilize anywhere from 2 to 4 editorial interns per term. Responsibilities include: fact-checking, proofreading, research, e-mailing/blogging. We also expect you to trend-spot, present creative ideas, and contribute editorial to the magazine. The editorial internship is a great way to learn how a magazine is made and an opportunity to get your work published in print or online.

2. Fashion/Style Internship: We utilize 2-4 fashion interns per term. A total, near obsessive interest in style, fashion, and photography is required, as is a willingness to assist the Style Editor. Computer savvy individuals preferred, as are those who are substantially literate in fashion and style. Among other things, you will be working directly with stylists and have the opportunity to be present and/or assist at photo shoots.

3. Advertising/Circulation Internship: We utilize 1-2 Ad/Circ interns per term. You must have an interest in the business of publishing: sales, account management, marketing. Serious candidates will learn a great deal about the publication business.

Note: All interns should have a valid driver's license, and a willingness to complete those highly significant tasks often. Also, if accepted into the internship program, you will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

To be considered for an internship, please submit a resume that contains your current contact information. A cover letter must be attached that includes which specific internship you are interested in. Editorial Interns should also attach writing samples, and Design and Fashion/Style interns can attach portfolio samples.

Once we receive your cover letter, resume, and/or samples, we will put them on file until ready for review by the editorial board. Please, no phone calls. We will contact you for an interview.

Thanks!
