Public Relations Intern
Location: San Francisco
Start Date: Summer 2008
Salary Range: Unpaid, Commuter Tickets (BART/MUNI/CalTrain)

The Marketing Department is seeking a motivated student to come join us for the summer. Desired Requirements:
• Previous experience in Public Relations/Communications is a plus
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels within a diverse corporate environment
• Highly motivated / Self-starter attitude
• Strong analytical skills and good judgment
• Experience in writing, editing and contributing to the development of print materials
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop project management skills quickly

Key Responsibilities:
• Support all communications efforts to increase the brand awareness, visibility, and leadership position of the company, its products, and executives.
• Keeping informed of competitive issues and contributing to the management of those issues in the media
• Help align the tone and strategy of communications activity with the company’s vision and business objectives.
• Assisting in the generation of communications materials including corporate and client press releases, marketing collateral, and presentations.
• Researching and analyzing media contacts and opportunities
• Perform basic data management duties to ensure corporate communications records and opportunities are up-to-date
• Tracking and reporting media coverage
