Public Relations and Marketing Internship
Habitot Children's Museum, a Berkeley based non-profit organization for children, is currently seeking a Public Relations/Publicity and Marketing Intern. Internship is part time (minimum 9 hours/week). The internship lasts for 3 to 4 months, with a $300 stipend upon completion of the internship.

Position Responsibilities
The intern will raise awareness about museum programs and events by performing the following duties:

* Writing press releases and public service announcements
* Updating events calendars in local parenting publications and in major periodicals
* Updating Bay Area event and parenting websites
* Maintaining a media calendar
* Assembling publicity portfolio of ads, articles, and listings
* Assist with on and off-site publicity events
* Create and maintain Facebook page for the Museum
Qualifications
* Be a junior or senior at a four-year college/university, graduate student, or recent college graduate
* Major in Business, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
* Have excellent writing and communication skills
* Be proficient in Word, Excel, Internet in Mac environments
* Be able to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
* MUST be able to work independently under direct supervision
* Prior experience with PR and non-profits a plus, but not required
