Heidi Merrick Fashion Design Studio Intern, LA

An internship with the HEIDI MERRICK studio is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn multiple aspects of the fashion industry. HEIDI MERRICK is a high end contemporary women’s clothing line. The studio space is located in downtown Los Angeles and interns will be interacting with all aspects of design and merchandising. The staff is small and intimate, therefore, interns get the opportunity to take on important responsibilities and prove themselves within the company.

We are looking for a design intern that is highly organized, motivated, responsible, and familiar with the fashion industry and has an eye for detail.

Design Intern: must be skilled in sewing, patterning, and draping. An intern must be able to multi-task, maintain supplies, and do fabric swatch shopping, pattern reproduction and cutting. This position will work directly with the designer and requires a serious level of professionalism and maturity. Learn the details of how a luxury women’s clothing line is designed and produced in the United States.

This position is unpaid. Three days a week is the required commitment for an internship. This internship is long hours in a fast-paced environment, previous fashion experience is essential. Excellent computer skills such as photoshop are a major plus.
