Editorial Blogging Internship (Fashion and Beauty) for Xanga.com Midtown West NY

We are looking for several web savvy, enthusiastic part-time editorial interns to help with writing, editing and web marketing for our Xanga-powered, growing destination blogs.

Xanga is one of the top blogging networks in the world. Expanding our network of content are destination blogs such as:

http://www.lovelyish.com -beauty, fashion and pop culture

This is a great opportunity for college students or people looking to build their portfolio, gain professional writing experience or start out in media. The internship will provide you with the chance to publish material every day. Interns can choose which site they'd like to work for depending on experience and interest.

A lot of media internships are on the magazine and book publishing side of the business - both industries that have struggled in recent years. This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in online media and content, the fastest growing part of media.

Requirements:
* Prior blogging experience
* Work a minimum of 15 hours/week
* Minimum commitment of 3 months
* Basic photo editing skills a plus
* All majors welcome, can be for school credit
*Can work from home or school

This is an unpaid internship; however it can lead to a paid position. Interns will receive training, mentorship and opportunities to expand their portfolios. Snacks and beverages are also provided for free. Based on job performance, references and networking opportunities will be provided.
