Stylist for Madonna Cover Band (Folsom)

A new local Madonna cover band called Material Girl is looking for a stylist/shopper to research and put together several outfits for the female lead singer and accompanying male band members. We are looking for several "Madonna" looks for the lead singer, from her vintage 80s looks to current. The same variety of looks for the other band members (older and newer looks) will also be needed. This will be a great experience for someone who has a strong interest in a fashion career and will provide something solid to put on a resume. This position will require the candidate to research movies, videos and pictures of Madonna and her band members in order to acurately dress the lead singer and band members. The stylist will then need to shop local stores including vintage and thrift shops to purchase necessary wardrobe items to put together. Sewing may also be necessary to properly complete or alter the outfits. The stylist must have an excellent eye for pop star fashion...80s in particular. The lead singer should have at least 5 looks and the male members of the band should each have 2 (there are 4 male members) for a total of 13 outfits. The wardrobe for all band members must be complete by early December and upon satisfactory completion of the band wardrobe, the stylist will receive compensation of $1,500 and a letter of recommendation. The band manager will provide money to the stylist as necessary to make purchases of the outfits.
