This position would require a two day a week commitment (Tuesdays and Thursdays), although it could be performed at home. There is no hourly requirement, as long as all necessary work is completed by the end of the day. The position would last a minimum of three months.
Responsibilities would include:
-managing Green By Design social media during those days (particularly the Twitter account)
-creating and brainstorming editorial content for the site
-writing and publishing new posts on the site
-maintaining conversations with our contacts in the fashion industry for tips on new events/lines/products
-browsing other green blogs for Twitter/Facebook material
-helping build Green By Design as an online community
-sending daily updates to the Editor In Chief and owner of the site.
Requirements:
-currently enrolled in college, or has a college degree
-a passionate interest in the Green movement and/or (eco) fashion
-experience with Wordpress
-familiar with HTML/CSS
-experience with Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets as related to online communication/public relations
-proficient writing skills; excellence is a must in grammar, spelling, and overall communication
-able to self-start and work successfully from home.
This internship is unpaid, however college credit is available and it could lead to a full time paid position.
