Club Monaco Visual Intern Spring 2010 (NYC)

Club Monaco is the international retail brand known for style for both men and women. * Organization and management of apparel and accessory samples

- Assist the corporate visual merchandising team with:

o Future collection concepts, partnering with the design and merchandising teams

o Fashion research, including: runway shows, editorial publications, field visits

o Setting up monthly real-time collections in the studio and at the model store

o Styling visual displays and mannequin looks

o Setting up press preview and market showrooms

o Photographing and cataloguing studio set ups

o Creating monthly visual directives for stores

o Merchandising updates sent through store communication

o Maintenance of the visual directive library and visual prop closets

o Prop/marketing/collateral mailings for stores

Ideal Candidate: One who wishes to pursue a career in fashion, including: visual merchandiser; designer; stylist; buyer. Candidates should possess artistic and creative energy and have a positive attitude. He/she should have a passion for style and the fashion industry, posses an ability to think outside the box, understand merchandising fundamentals, and the basics of Adobe applications (Photoshop, illustrator and indesign). Retail experience is preferred, but not required.
