Lucky Brand summer 2009 internship program (Vernon, CA)

Rooted in rock'n'roll with a signature sense of humor, Lucky Brand Jeans stands for independent thinking, individual style and a feeling as authentic as love. Friends since youth, creators Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman shipped the first order of Lucky Brand Jeans in 1990, and have been renowned for their great-fitting, vintage-inspired jeans and clothes ever since. Lucky Brand Jeans is sold at over 150 neighborhood Lucky Brand Jeans stores internationally, at LuckyBrandJeans.com, and in variety of department and specialty stores

Overview:
Lucky Brand Jeans, established in 1990, has become one of America's favorite denim brands with a sense of humor evident in its trademark "Lucky You" fly. Lucky Brand products are sold through its own 170+ retail stores nationwide and on its website (www.luckybrandjeans.com). Additionally, the company sells its products in a select group of high-end department stores including Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Dillards and in better specialty stores including Buckle and Fred Segal.

Responsibilities:
The 2009 Summer Lucky Brand Jeans internship program is designed to identify, develop and potentially hire top entry level talent. It is our intention to help acclimate local university/college students to our company culture, build on their creativity, and allow them the best opportunity to get to know Lucky Brand.

We are creating an interesting program that will provide a student with an opportunity to grow, learn, and create work products that are meaningful to our organization, our customers, and consumers.

This unpaid internship program will allow selected students to intern a certain amount of hours over the course of their winter/spring quarter/semester. Participants work closely with their hiring managers to understand and impact their specific departments.

Qualifications:
This is an unpaid internship, the student must be able to receive school credit.

Junior/Senior level students looking to intern in the following areas: Human Resources, Design, Ecommerce/CRM, Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, Finance, Production and Marketing.
