Growing Boutique PR Firm looking to take on 3-5 Interns for the summer and beyond.
We are a small firm specializing in luxury fashion and lifestyle products, but have recently been expanding our reach to New Media, Consumer products, and the Food and Beverage Industry. We are seeking motivated, eager self starters who can take direction and be a team player. Previous PR experience is a plus, but not required. We are a very young agency, and would like to find interns who have an understanding of Fashion, Luxury, Hollywood, and excellent people skills are an obvious MUST. We attend A-list parties and events often, and will occasionally ask interns to accompany us. This is one of the many perks offered at the company. We also have a massage therapist that comes to the office, tons of free clothes and products, and if we are impressed by your performance after three months we may offer a full time position to the right person. We do expect a level or professionalism, grace, and tact but as we work out of a GORGEOUS Penthouse live/work space that belongs to the CEO it is usually very relaxed and casual around here. The owner of the company and his partner do have a small Pug dog that lies around the office all day, but unless you consider her snorting to be offensive she is really no harm at all. We all have a good sense of humor and like to laugh, but work comes first and now that we are starting to grow in leaps and bounds we need to expand and strengthen our team internally. We also are in the process of launching a side project (The owner of the firm has been designing a new jewelry line that is releasing next month with a VIP party at the residence) and part of the job for the individuals we hire would be to help with that side of the business as well. Any Jewelry Design/ production experience is a major plus, and if your skills are up to par, this is something you would be paid for before the three month review.
Some of the job requirements include:
Answering phones and taking messages
Distributing Press Releases and pitch emails using the media databases
Conducting Follow ups on lead's
Packing and Shipping supplies
Be proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Keeping track of Client Activity Reports
Scheduling the founders schedule
Able to accomplish basic Administrative tasks
Jewelry production/ Order tracking
