Our Summer 2009 Internship Program begins on June 1st, 2009 and ends on August 7th, 2009. Opportunities are available in New York City as well as our headquarters in North Bergen, New Jersey. Responsibilities: Responsibilities/ Qualifications for Planning & Allocation Work with teams to learn by: Supporting the execution of the company's financial plans by allocating product to drive the business --- Analytical/Math Skills * Accuracy * Task Management (Deadline management/multitasking) * Store line sales or stock experience a plus* Work collaboratively * Solid written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, general written material) * Intermediate Microsoft windows applications, specifically Excel. ____________________________________________________ Responsibilities/ Qualifications for Production and Manufacturing Production, Manufacturing and Sourcing associates work closely with Design and Merchandising teams to build products that are responsive to our consumers' changing lifestyles. As a member of the team, you will work to ensure that all raw materials are tested and approved, ensure that details are confirmed for final pass off to factory, work with the sales division to finalize orders in the Sewn system, work with factories to ensure that all packaging and labeling are ordered to meet LCI specifications and special projects and working with design, merchandising & the factories to produce short lead time deliveries as necessary. --- Proficient in Microsoft Office * Strong proficiency in utilization of database software * Strong ability to manipulate data for efficient analysis * Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on all aspects of responsibility * Ability to multitask and focus in a busy atmosphere * Comfortable with working on a team * Ability to demonstrate flexibility * Excellent time management and communication skills ___________________________________________________ Responsibilities/ Qualifications Supply Chain Industry research and analysis Project management analysis Provide support to individual team members for specific projects Vendor Planning Project Filter thru current state data obtained and outline gaps in merchandising and vendor planning area. Organization Project Support in outlining methodology and assist in development of project management tools Non apparel Project Assist in outlining current state gap analysis and future state proposal for Accessories Division. Financial analyses create various financial models and provide analysis and recommendations within specific projects deliverables outlined. --- Analytical skills * Financial experience (budgeting, accounting.
