StarMakers Costumes & Vintage is looking for a few great interns to commit to 1 day a week, every week for 6 months. Interns are needed in various capacities below is the breakdown of what we are looking for. Please email your resume, cover letter and be specific about which internship you are applying for. Costume Interns: 5 interns needed
Duties included, but not limited to:
Organize costumes and vintage wardrobe by category, style and or period
Restock costumes
Update re-order list of costumes and accessories needed
Designing and or sketching new costumes to be made by seamstress on premises
Check daily pick-ups and returns of costumes
Visual display / updating windows
Labeling and inventorying merchandise
Sorting and restocking dry-cleaning
Steaming & ironing costumes
Updating & restocking wigs and make-up
Restocking male costumes, beards and wigs
Costume donations
Searching local markets to purchase costumes
Taking pictures of costumes & vintage wear to post on website

Marketing Interns: 3 interns needed
Duties included, but not limited to:
Marketing all events at the shop – sales, acting classes, birthday parties, kids parties, tea parties, school productions, rehearsal space, etc.
Update website
Update calendars – costume and fashion
Keeping a style and costume log – “what’s hot, this season – fashion, movies, costumes”
Craig’s list ads and searches – posting and answering
Searching markets, neighborhoods, etc. re: new resources, thrift stores, culture, styles, etc.
Ordering fashion magazines
Checking fashion and costuming websites weekly
Contacting all playhouses, performing arts schools, other costume & vintage houses and letting them know about us
Eblasting other markets/branding re: ice skating, dancers, Edwardian, Renaissance, dance schools, Victorian; check all upcoming events surrounding same
Marketing to plus size markets
Prospecting/ thinking of new business avenues

Styling Your Image, Inc. / Fashion Styling intern 2 interns needed
Duties included, but not limited to:
Assist on photo shoots
Focus on building personal shopping clients
Focus on building corporate / image seminar business
Beauty & image seminars for women’s groups, sororities and organizations
Update website

Beauty & Love Foundation, Inc. non profit organization assisting young girls regarding self-image, self-esteem and self-empowerment
Intern/assistant needed re: preparing for Teen Summit Saturday April 25, 2009. 2 interns needed.
Duties included, but not limited to:
Following up on letters sent out to participants
Updating press kit packages to be mailed out
Following up with sponsors – re: in kind donations
Checking & updating website
Checking other resources and websites that our participants may benefit from
Updating resource list
Emailing past and current participants, following up
