Each summer, Coach offers a Summer Internship Program in our New York City corporate headquarters. The program provides interns the opportunity to develop critical skill sets and gain hands-on experience in a fast paced environment while contributing to the performance of a high performing luxury accessories brand. Internships consist of day-to-day work within the intern’s specific department, as well as learning sessions with top executives across the organization. Each intern works closely with a mentor who gives guidance and enhances the learning experience through feedback and coaching, and interns also attend social events where they have the opportunity to network with other interns and Coach employees.
The Corporate Merchandising (CM) department is looking for a summer intern with strong analytical and quantitative skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and passion for a career in the fast-paced fashion and luxury goods industry. The department is responsible for guiding and facilitating the merchandising function for the Coach brand. They are responsible for driving business and product development processes to ensure that cross-functional teams work collaboratively to execute processes and meet deadlines, and that Coach meets its financial targets. The CM intern will learn about all aspects of merchandising and product development while supporting Coach’s Factory division merchandising team. The intern will assist the team by preparing for presentations and meetings, preparing product knowledge tools, maintaining the sample order process and participating in competitive research. Key responsibilities will include sample coordination, creating color swatch boards, preparing Market Week information sheets, and compiling information for product assortment grids.
