LA-based high-end fashion designer Katy Rodriguez and owner of the acclaimed designer vintage boutique Resurrection seeks interns to assist with design and PR aspects of her line.
Katy Rodriguez has been featured in French Vogue, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, as well as numerous other fashion and art publications.
She has a design and production studio in West Hollywood where her collections are conceptualized and produced.
Katy Rodriguez seeks interns to assist her Design and PR managers in preparation for the presentation of her F/W 09 collection during NY Fashion week in February, as well as with day-to-day aspects of the company.
The internship will begin in January and requires a 2-3 day commitment through the Spring.
Daily duties include:
- tracking/packaging/returning all fashion samples
- fielding phone calls in a diplomatic and personable manner
- general office maintenance
- assisting press officer with fashion credits
Requirements:
-Demonstrates good judgment and follow-through.
-Self-motivated and can think “outside the box.”
-Possesses excellent communicative, organizational and interpersonal skills.
-Prior education in design, writing, and/or PR.
This is an unpaid internship, but the hands-on experience is invaluable.
