We are a boutique, full-service public relations agency specializing in branding, publicity, and special events for our wide range of clients including fashion, retail, technology, professional, service industries, entertainment, high-profile individuals and non-profit organizations. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic intern to join us in our office daily to support our team. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday , 4-6 hours a day, and a six month commitment is required. Ideal candidate is an extremely detail oriented, organized, and energetic individual who is able to work effectively both independently and also as part of a team. WRITING SKILLS ARE A MUST. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential to this position. Solid computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, and familiarity with Mac’s and PC’s a must. We are looking for someone who can maintain efficiency under pressure and truly be able to hit the ground running.

Intern’s duties will include general office support, research, guest list and database management, drafting and preparing correspondence, assisting in event planning, attending and assisting in event operations, writing and distributing press releases, invitations, and announcements, and coordinating pre- and post-event communications, etc. This internship will expose you to real public relations, you will be hands on with accounts and clients. This is often unheard of for internships. This opportunity offers unbeatable hands-on exposure to the exciting and faced paced world of PR.

    Shopseen is a new online community where fashion-minded users gather to post pictures and share comments on the latest products, sales and events they are finding locally. Shopseen enables users to obtain up-to-the-minute information on what’s in stores, what’s on sale, and what else is going on in their area.

    We’re looking for a motivated and tech-savvy intern to help promote this startup; he or she will report to our Marketing and PR departments, and have the opportunity to substantially contribute to new, ground-breaking features. If you are hip to current fashion trends, can’t live without Twitter and Facebook, are outgoing and comfortable striking up conversations with any and all types of people, we want to hear from you.

    Responsibilities to include:
    - Scouting out popular Bay Area retailers and fashion designers
    - Daily posting of products and events
    - In-person networking with local businesses and customers to evangelize and promote the Shopseen brand;

    - Helping maintaining local business database
    - Promotional event planning
    - Discover and attend Bay Area shopping events, fashion shows and conventions

    Requirements:
    - Be a college student or recent grad who is familiar with the Bay Area and its retailers
    - Be passionate about fashion and trends; retail work experience a plus
    - Have a cell phone with camera and email capabilities, and love to use it
    - Have good knowledge of social media and viral marketing techniques
    - Strong communication skills; must be comfortable speaking with owners & designers in the hippest SF boutiques
    - Be organized but creative; able to think “outside of the box”
    - Be adaptable to a changing startup culture
    - Be able to commit to 3 months, minimum 20/hr week
