Exciting, fast-paced, friendly boutique PR agency specializing in beauty and fashion is looking for interns to start immediately. We are also accepting resumes for summer interns, as well. We need upbeat, stellar team players that consider themselves fast learners and very organized. Candidates must have a love of reading, writing, magazines and style.
A sense of urgency is a must, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks.
Duties include maintaining product closets, coordinating editorial mailings, compiling press materials, updating media lists, completing various administrative duties and helping with editorial events.
We would like interns who can work at least three days a week. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain entry in the public relations field (NOT editorial). It’s a 16-week commitment and there is a lunch/travel stipend. INTERNSHIPS ARE UNPAID.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain media lists and editorial calendars.
· Perform account related research via the Internet and other PR-related sources.
· Assist in writing and producing press materials, including press releases.
· Conduct media relations follow-up and pre-media relations screening.
· Provide creative brainstorming assistance.
· Compile multimedia clips into complete coverage reports.
· Perform various administrative duties
