Social Media/PR Intern (Hollywood)



School of Style, a boutique fashion school, is looking for a smart, driven and organized individual to assist with day-to-day operations in our LA office. You will be working directly under celebrity stylist Luke Storey and fashion expert Lauren Messiah.

The selected candidate will receive hands-on experience working for a start-up company and an opportunity to grow with the organization. Interns will also get a glimpse into the exciting world of fashion through our courses and through assisting on the day-to-day tasks related to various styling jobs.

This is an unpaid summer position but will honor school credit if you are a student. Parking and some expenses are provided. Upon completion of the internship a scholarship to School of Style will be granted. ($1700 value)

A little about the role:
• Ongoing Projects: Manage and track samples for styling jobs, developing press packages
• Data entry & research
• Administrative work
• Organizing studio, coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs, checking-in and preparing samples for stylists
• Blogging for the School of Style blog
• Maintain social media outlets including: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, Instragram, YouTube
• Conduct media outreach to influential bloggers
• Participate in company brainstorming sessions on marketing initiatives

A little about you:
• Currently enrolled in a 4 year university with a bachelor's degree in progress or 1 year of work experience
• Interest in fashion
• Highly organized and dependable
• Computer savvy
• Must be able to take initiative and work independently
• Experience in blogging and social media
• Working knowledge of WordPress and HTML
• Reliable transportation

    RocksBox Fashion Operations Internship (SF)

    Spend the summer with RocksBox! We're looking for a hard-working operations intern excited to get in on the ground floor. We are growing quickly every month, and are looking for someone to help with shipping: checking shipments in as received; sanitizing products; printing shipping labels; putting together boxes, and inventory management: weighing; photographing; and other categorization of inventory. This position is 20-40 hours a week, but applicant must be available to work mornings (Tuesday-Friday) every week. Potential to continue on part-time into the school year; compensation is $10/hour.

    THE ROLE:
    Join an early stage, rapidly growing fashion startup selling REAL STUFF that users happily PAY FOR. We're looking for someone who will eat operations for lunch and ask for more.

    Urban Outfitters SUMMER 2012 Internships (PA)

    Are you a college student interested in an internship in Philly with URBN Inc. (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain, or BHLDN) next summer? Now is your chance! We are currently accepting applications to receive an invitation for the URBN Internship Recruiting Day that will take place in early January 2012.
    Students must submit their resume along with a cover letter that answers the questions below. In addition, all candidates will need to present an inspiration board via e-mail (8.5 x 11 pdf) that demonstrates their understanding of their chosen brand. We ask that you be creative with the inspiration board, there are no major guidelines. We want to know what inspires you whether it is magazine tears, pictures, descriptive words, etc. Be creative and HAVE FUN with it. Resume, cover letter, and inspiration board should be submitted in 1 PDF. Designers should also submit work samples, and anything additional that makes your application more compelling is welcomed (please just keep in mind the 1 PDF guideline).

    Technical Design interns will:
    • Measure samples and input to Web PDM

    Task Master
    Product Development/ Production intern responsibilities include:
    • Tracking of garments with overseas factories
    • Production sample management
    • Acting as liaison between buyers and vendors on purchase orders
    Analyst
    The Retail Planning intern (for web and catalog) will:
    • Analyze inventory and reporting
    • Create styles
    • Issue purchase orders and manage revisions
    Decorator
    The Stylist intern responsibilities include:
    • Styling on photo sets
    • Logging product and cataloging items
    • Product prep and clean up
    Photographer
    Photo Studio interns will:

    • Set up and breakdown of photo sets

    Collaborator
    Store Operations interns will:
    • Support new the store openings pre-planning process
    • Provide administrative support for current store operations projects
    • Gather communication for weekly store mailpacks
    Networker
    Interns will participate in the PR program including:
    • Media relations and events (must be familiar with media outlets)
    • Sample traffic
    • Media monitoring
    *PR intern positions are located in NYC.
    Storyteller
    The Merchandising intern will:
    • Scan imagery and input data for the media library
    • Organize creative presentations for product stories for web team
    • Trend Researchto support bi-annual presentations
    Solutions Architect
    The Information Technology intern will:
    • Provide support to existing IT Groups
    • Learn computer systems and software in fast-paced environment
    • Assist in the analysis of fashion / retail technology solutions
