Interior Design: Jr. designer/assistant (South OC)

Reply to: job-eg8xp-1473033549@craigslist.org

Seeking a junior designer/student (intern) with some hands on skills to help out with all aspects of design. At this point this would be a contract only/temporary position. Ideally, this could turn into a more permanent (part time) position if desired, but the immediate need would be from about now until early spring. Your hours would be very hit or miss, working fairly independently, and often from home. A portion of the job would include visits to clients homes, showrooms, and the Laguna/Stonemill Design Center. Anywhere from 8-15 hours a week would be a fair guess. I am willing to work around your school/work schedule as needed, but some regular business hours would be required.

Job Skills desired:

Basic AutoCad drafting (floorplans and cabinetry)
Sketching and rendering skills
Basic knowledge of fabric, color, and other material selections
Computer basics, email, web searching etc.

I am more than willing to train and teach someone, and give you hands-on experience in any desired area. No need to spend a lot of time sending me a lot of info right off the bat. A resume, if available, and a little about your studies/experience, and your availability is sufficient to begin with. Looking for someone that lives near central/south OC, and is ready to get started on some projects right away.

  • Location: South OC
  • Compensation: depends on experience
  • This is a part-time job.
  • This is a contract job.
  • This is an internship job
  • Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
