We are now officially seeking motivated individuals and college students for our part-time internship program to work alongside our participants in fashion, music, and art for our San Diego event in July.

Interns are needed for the following departments: Event Public Relations, Fashion Event Production, Fashion, and Art.

EVENT PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Assists the Event PR Director with the event PR aspect of the show including but not limited to: promotion, networking, and outreach to influential tastemakers, top media, buyers, curators, + consumers, and much more.

FASHION EVENT PRODUCTION:
Assists the Event Production Director with the fashion show production portion of the event, including but not limited to: model casting, fashion show production, dressing, fittings, and much more.

FASHION:
Assists the Fashion Director with the fashion aspect of the event, including but not limited to: scouting and contacting potential San Diego based designers, model casting, designer participant outreach and support, and much more.

ART:
Assists the Art Director with the art gallery portion of the even, including but not limited to: scouting new local talent to showcase at Project Ethos, art gallery set-up, and much more.

REQUIREMENTS:

Team player with a positive attitude

Contemporary art gallery in San Francisco seeks part-time gallery intern to assist on an ongoing basis with a host of gallery operations, to include interfacing with the public while performing occasional staffing duties.

Established in 2008 in the downtown San Francisco gallery district, the gallery highlights the works of emerging and established artists. We are proud to represent artists who are creating works with exceptional contemporary and conceptual power. We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals with an art history or arts management background. Duties range from administrative tasks such as office organization, filing, invoicing/processing sales, and answering phones, to on-site interfacing with the public, assisting with events, occasional assistance with installations, and discussing artwork with the visiting public after achieving an extensive familiarity with the resumes and background information of our represented artists.

It will be essential that interns be interested in working in a professional fine art gallery environment, possess strong communication skills in person as well as on the phone, and have basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel). Basic Photoshop/Illustrator/FileMaker experience is highly desirable.

The Color Association Internship-NY

The Color Association's Internship program welcomes students from around the
world to experience color at America's oldest forecast service. Our
Internship Program focuses on three segments: original research in the
Association's color archives, research in New York City's museums, galleries
and retail spaces, and training in color critiques and color forecasts.

Interns complete an original piece of research utilizing a decade's worth of
archival color materials, and relate their research to an aspect of fashion
and/or design. To complete the research a "visual" is created with a brief
written digest. Past projects have included films of the seventies; city
lights at night; 1950's kitchen colors; kabuki colors and their symbolism.

Every week interns are directed to a museum exhibition in Manhattan
(example: The Whitney Biennial) and may be asked to write up a review of it.

Interns are expected to be able to read forecasts, fill swatch orders and
carry on professional correspondence within a few weeks. For this reason,
their written and spoken English must be fluent. Additionally, interns are
trained to color critique catalogues and our members' product lines. Interns
are closely involved in all activities of the Association and have the
opportunity to observe and participate in workshops, color meetings,
research studies and the production of our color forecasts and bi-monthly
newsletter.

Interns work no more than a total of six hours a day, three or four days a
week, either 10 to 4 PM to or 9 to 3 PM. They are recompensed $40 a day,
inclusive of lunch and transportation. Interns need to advise our office of
curriculum requirements of their institutions if these need to be met during
the internship period (for instance, Fashion Institute of Technology
requires 120 hours for completion of an internship).

You must be an edgy graphics designer with a keen sense of commercial fashion preferable age 17-25. You MUST love old black and white films and photos and feel creative with them. I have started a brand of print designs based on vintage black and white photographs each with a theme we are interested in. The photos are often imperfect and low quality which we actually use artistically in the final design. We extend the theme of our graphics collection with text designs where we are free to let our minds wander. 

Our initial prints are geared for young males ages 15-30. The themes of our graphics are all about attitude, have alot of meaning but are fun too. Market testing of our prints have so far been very encouraging. 

If you feel you can be very creative with ageless beautiful old photographs so that a young male today can identify with... then please contact me with a link to your work.
