You must have...
* Experience with retail or E-commerce is strongly preferred
* Strong interest and eye for fashion
* Familiar with fashion dictionary; fabic names, hemming, materials, styles
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Intermediate photo editing and graphic design skills
* Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office
* Must have own laptop with Adobe Photoshop.

Dress for Success San Jose Internship
Dress for Success San Jose is a local non profit organization and an affiliate to Dress for Success Worldwide, the only international organization that addresses and fulfills the needs of low-income women who have left welfare and are interfacing with the challenges of entering the workforce. As a three part program at no costs to our clients, Dress for Success San Jose consists of a Suiting Program, Job Search Program and an employment retention program, known as the Professional Women's Group, in order to help women secure employment and advance their careers.
Dress for Success San Jose is seeking a volunteer intern to serve 10 hours per week to our organization in our Milpitas office.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
1. Provide clients with quality service.
2. Increase partner program relationships and outreach.
3. Inventory Management.
4. Return telephone calls regarding donations, etc.
5. Follow up with clients after 1st suiting appointments.
6. Complete documentation (letters, tax receipts, etc), as assigned.
7. Assist Dress for Success San Jose Director with various tasks, including events, trainings.
8. Assist w/ sorting clothes and organizing boutique as needed.
9. Administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• Working towards degree in Education, Social Work, Business, Marketing, Fashion, Non Profit or any other related field.
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
• High level of organizational skills, communication skills.
• Ability to complete projects effectively in timely manner.
Work Schedule:
• Position works on site at our office located at 560 Valley Way, Milpitas, CA

Starworks Group Internship (LA)
Starworks Group - Fashion PR Internship
STARWORKS GROUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 2011 - 2012
POLICIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
*Minimum 2-3 days/week commitment (10 AM - 6 PM each day)
**Days must be approved by your Starworks Supervisor
**Days must remain consistent from week to week
*More than 3 absences will result in immediate dismissal
**This includes sick days
**Your supervisor must be given AT LEAST 24-hours notice for any absences that are not the result of an emergency
*Reporting structure - you must immediately report to your assigned Starworks Supervisor as soon as you arrive at 10AM
**VIP interns will report to Dolores Martinez
**All errands that require an intern to leave the office must be approved by his/her supervisor
**All tasks not assigned by the department must first be approved by the supervisor
*At the end of each work day, a brief summary of tasks completed must be turned in to the intern's supervisor
**This should be done in an e-mail (not verbally), and should include a summary of any tasks that were NOT completed
SHOWROOM DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Trafficking samples
*Merchandising showroom and making sure it looks presentable
*Running samples to fittings and pick-ups/drop-offs etc.

*Managing press books
*Creating google documents
*Taking photos of all samples

Cheek-ie , an emerging brooklyn unisex accessories line seeks a lovely intern (male or female) to work 1 to 2 days a week (M T W TH F ) from 12 - 6 pm at the studio in Williamsburg/greenpoint brooklyn. The jewelry line is sold throughout stores in nyc, la, and overseas, and many more city's...with your help! What I need is some general help with the following:
Trend/Shop Research
General Help assisting on sometimes weekly photoshoots
Tracking inventory and press/stylist loans
Updating the website and webstore (using photoshop and dreamweaver I can also teach you how to do this...)
Jewelry assembly (Right now I am swamped with fashion week work)
Office organization
Administering positive energy above all.
Skills needed: Responsible, Creative forward thinker. Basic hand sewing and glueing is necessary. Mac Users preferred .... Everything else i can teach you but you must be willing to learn.
